Heroes Wall and the adjacent Scroll of Honor will be a 45 foot curved black granite wall with bronze accents and will consist of 9, seven foot tall granite and concrete sections. At the top of each section of granite will be engraved a brief description of each of the US conflicts since World War I up to and including today's Global War on Terror. Following each conflict's description will be the names of our community's Heroes who gave their lives during that particular conflict or timeframe, while in the service to our country.

"The Faces of Freedom"
Bronze Statue

The  second component of the Veterans Memorial is the 8 foot by 11 foot bronze statue, created by Mark Greenaway, our own nationally recognized sculptor.

Mr. Greenaway was inspired to create "The Faces of Freedom" to pay honor and tribute to the great men and women who have served throughout our country's history.

"The Faces of Freedom"

The figures symbolize both past and present members of our military. The sculpture captures a history timeline from World War I to today’s war on terror. The American flag is emblazoned with faces of Veterans who have served throughout our history. A marine faces forward vigilant and ready to protect the Flag, Our Freedoms, and the Honor of those who’ve gone before him.

Completing the Memorial will be the posting of the American flag and the Flags from each of the branches of our armed services. These flags will stand proudly atop Heroes Wall and The Scroll of Honor.
