The Memorial's Pathway to Freedom will be paved with engraved brick pavers.

These Pavers can be reserved and donated by anyone to honor someone you believe has helped to "Pave The Pathway to Freedom" with their service to our country without having made the "ultimate

sacrifice".

 

Each brick payer can be personally engraved with the name of this person or with any tribute honoring our Veterans and Military Your message can be as simple as a general dedication to show your support and recognition of the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform. 

 

Engraving Information:

 

Each Brick Paver can be engraved with a total of 3 lines of type. Each line can hold a maximum of 16 letters, numbers, spaces or punctuation. You are welcome to write a  message that is written to honor:

  • a specific person
  • a military unit
  • a branch of service
  • a general message to show your support and appreciation for our Veterans.
  • On the right you can see just a few examples of Brick Paver orders we have received so far. Feel free to use your own ideas as well.

     

    Idea: A Veteran's Rank, Name, branch of service and when they served is always a great idea as a Gift Paver to honor a Veteran.

    Your Engraved Message


    Atascadero Veterans Memorial
    Limited Edition Watercolor

    Heroes Wall and the adjacent Scroll of Honor will be a 45 foot curved black granite wall with bronze accents and will consist of 9, seven foot tall granite and concrete sections. At the top of each section of granite will be engraved a brief description of each of the US conflicts since World War I up to and including today's Global War on Terror. Following each conflict's description will be the names of our community's Heroes who gave their lives during that particular conflict or timeframe, while in the service to our country. 

    Donation: $200

     


    "The Faces of Freedom" Bronze Statue

    The  second component of the Veterans Memorial is the 9 foot by 12 foot bronze statue, created by Mark Greenaway, our own nationally recognized sculptor.

    This is 16" x 12" x 8" statue on a black marble pedestal.

    Mr. Greenaway was inspired to create "Faces of Freedom" to pay honor and tribute to our great men and women in uniform throughout history.
